Urban Search and Rescue
Urban search and rescue is a multi-disciplined operation involving search operations, rescue operations, medical assistance and technical assistance. Those participating in the operations come from a variety of disciplines; fire fighters, medical staff, volunteer rescue workers, dog handlers, military personnel, police, engineers, construction workers and others. The complete team is a unique entity that does not work together on a daily basis, yet still needs to have a formal structure, operational standards and training. International urban search and rescue requires knowledge of how international disaster response works, how to adapt the INSARAG (International Search and Rescue Advisory Group) Guidelines into the team operation and understand how to work within an international setting. Rainrace can provide consulting service regarding national and international USAR and adapt programs to meet specific needs.
